Lenovo & Knexus have developed a relationship over a two and a half year period. Through this cooperative relationship we have been experimenting with how to bring UGC, influencer and brand owned content into shoppers’ ecommerce buying journeys.

It is important for Lenovo to deliver digital customer experiences that reflect Lenovo’s status as one of the world’s leading consumer electronics companies.

The Challenge

Lenovo customers take longer than average when considering a purchase due to the high price point and complexity of their products. Product complexity often drives customers to conduct research to better understand the product range, including engaging with influencers through review videos, unboxing and comparisons. This takes customers off site to find the relevant content and seek external opinions (influencers or other users).

The Solution

Display UGC and brand owned content on product description pages to educate and provide social proof. By leveraging educational and social proofing content such as product unboxing, product tours and reviews, Lenovo equips its customers with the information needed to make an informed decision, faster. By leveraging social proofing content Lenovo can make their customers feel they are incurring less risk by purchasing.
